Matrix 980 led indicator?

Just got my replacement card in from Newegg. Looks like the LED panel on this one has a yellow tint to it as well. Unfortunately, I have to get ready to go to work in a few minutes so I won't be able to install it in the tower until tomorrow to know for sure. If it's green again, then I'm just gonna have to get ASUS support to help out this time. I'm not spending 2 weeks a time for a gamble.

hello to all guys, I bought less than a month from a gtx 980 matrix, looking on the internet about the LED indicator I came across this thread satisfactory, we jump down to it, I have not yet clear whether the PCB in yellow background is a problem video card, or there are some with a yellow background and some with white background and do not represent any problem. I wanted to actually see my card with the PCB yellow in my possession that type of color and if changes emanated from the PCB with the white, in addition to this problem if it can be defined I wanted to clarify one thing my gtx 980 matrix in any circumstances or at idle or at peak performance, the LED does not change color to me is solid purple color even when I start the pc part directly purple and this does not change under any circumstances ... given that you have already faced problems related to the PCB wanted know if you have any advice or help from me, waiting for your reply best regards Michael

My cards with yellow panel had no problems what so ever, compared with ones with white Diffuser panel there was no difference in performance, are you running 2 in sli as one card will unlikely never hit red in color, only under 100% load but if you are saying your card led panel is showing a purple, something is not right, as it should only indicate ( blue=light to no load or idle, yellow= medim load, red=heavy to full load, green= safe mode.)

thank you for answering and forgive my English , I did not understand if among those with pcb and yellow ones with the white one you experienced performance differences ???? my current gtx 980 matrix gives off only the LED purple and I do not know how to behave

Put the replacement card back in my rig a few minutes ago and indeed it gave me the green/aqua type color again. Taking your advice this time, Santz and sent a message to Adam@ASUS to see how we go about getting me fixed up. Always have faith in ASUS support, so I'm not too worried. Will continue to keep updated.

I found this thread and your advice to me as a relief, I just asked for the replacement to Amazon, which unfortunately does not have available at the time the product and then there will be days of waiting, in addition there will be more days for the which will have a supervisor Amazon valuare replacement given the high amount of the card, in short matter of time. I am Italian so forgive my English, I tried to contact support Asus Italy but are still waiting, as reflected problems in contacting Adam email I can indicate the right address? I want to explore with all of you this question because I'm also a fan of Asus, Rog and in fact are the owner of many of these components manufacturers above. To recap my PCB is yellow, it should be white? In addition, the LED load is exclusively purple never changes ... I really need your support and experience, thanks again you are fantastic.

I did have 2 cards, first was with white panel and second a the yellow one but this had no off etc on performance, if you are only using 1 card with yellow panel I personally would just keep it, as it has no effect of performance on card, it is more of a cosmetic issue than anything, but my issue was strickly cosmetic!!! But if you plan on getting second card you might wanna rma it!!! I know adam and mark have been in contact with there superiors in Taiwan so at least they should be aware of the issue!!! Hope it works out for you guys!!

yes yes I understand perfectly now , basically you have to have two preferred them both with white pcb when tabs are off by a factor of aesthetics but nothing has affected the performance , for me then the problem is that the light of my pcb it shows only one and never varies , attached photos and thanks for the very quick answers

Ya that one looks defected, I would rma if possible, but should have no effect on performance, it would look nice if you had a purple build!
