If you can get me the RMA number I might be able to get someone to trace it.

WOAH!!! What the heck is going on!? This is insane. It's 100% caused by the LED diffuser panel, which is about a $0.25 part!

Really sorry to hear that man! I feel for you.

So in idle mode, master GPU = blue, 2nd GPU = green.

While running 3Dmark11, master GPU may be red, and another may be orange. It’s a normal situation in using SLI.

Basically RMAing the cards for this won't help - it's down to how SLI loads the cards. The color of the LEDs on the cards is purely load dependent and as SLI isn't perfectly load balanced, what you are seeing is normal.

    Raja,

As I explained in great detail to Raj. B when I filed for an RMA, the problem is as santz76 says. The Edge Lit LED Diffuser Panels are inconsistent in coloring, which is explained IN DETAIL in this forum.

If you take each card in your hand, outside of the computer, and manually shine a white led on the top edge of the LED diffuser panel the color you see through the load indicator window is different for each card. Again, due to the diffuser panel coloring being drastically different.

santz76's most recent images show it VERY clearly. The cards are powered off and just with ambient light you can clearly see one opaque panel is white, and the other is definitely yellow. If blue light is emitted into a white diffuser panel, the diffuser panel will illuminate blue. However, if blue light is illuminated into a YELLOW diffuser panel, then the diffuser will illuminate green. Therein lies the problem.

Really frustrating problem for such an awesome card, especially for us SLi users who have two cards right next to one another.

What's really crazy is that the card I have that seems to be okay, the opaque panel is not nearly as white as your good one. I think ASUS has an issue with the supplier of the opaque panels. They're obviously getting components with extremely inconsistent diffuser coloring. I'm really glad you were able to get some good pics with the cards powered off. You can see the problem clearly. Blue and yellow make green, no two ways about it.

I still have both of mine, 1 good, and the 1 bad. The new card is on the way, and if it's good I will RMA the bad card back to Newegg. That is unless something is worked out with ASUS to send the card to them, which I'm happy to do.

I'm a computer engineer by trade and take stuff like this apart all the time. I've been tempted to removed the shroud and removed the LED PCB to get clear pictures of the problem, but hopefully it won't come to that.
