Will this backpack fit my ROG G751?

So I just bought a Asus ROG G751HT-CH71 and now I am trying to find a backpack for this baby.

I know that we have a lot of posts here about this issue but I have to say: your recommendations are too expensive for me. I mean, 150$ for Asus Nomad? Not a good idea for me! And I really dont like black with orange so Everki Beacon is out. 😛

I have been searching for week and as a very huge fan of Razer (and also a giftcard of 30% discount), I am thinking about the Razer Tactical backpack:
http://www.amazon.com/MobileEdge-17-Inch-Tactical-Backpack-RAZERBP17/dp/B000DLBAJQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=elec...

So the big question is: will it fit my Asus? Can anyone give me a review for this backpack?

Also, if you guys have better suggestions, I am willing to hear, as long as the price is below 100$ and it is a backpack.

Thank you for reading! 🙂

duongthienz, it depends on what you like, and if the G751 fits... give it a shot if you like it, and return it if it doesn't fit.

If returns are tough, then I wouldn't risk it. The top entry looks too round, vs the square top of the Asus Nomad. The G750/G571 are wide and fat at the back, many 17" bags will be too tight, and wear on the coating over time. The cure would be a sleeve to protect the G750/G751, but there isn't room in the bag for more girth and there aren't many sleeves that fit either.

If you do try it out, please let us know how it fits 🙂

I was considering the Targus XL for my JT but ended up with the RoG Nomad... The XL did seem to fit the laptop on the vids I saw but seemed a bit unfit for the task (the potential of your lappy flapping around inside, and cushion seemed thin)

Scott, I saw a video of the Everki Titan and it seemed too tight for the G750 so did not consider it.

Just to clarify, I use the Everki Titan with the G751 and it's a snug but comfortable fit. It slides in just fine, and you you dont have any bouncing of the laptop. Ample room for everything. My personal recommendation is the Titan...

I actually bought this bag - the Port Designs Meribel:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BN0FHOU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

It's waaaay cheaper than the ones you've mentioned so far and fits the G751 like a glove. It's well made, good quality, features good padding/protection and has plenty of compartments - not to mention a built-in waterproof cover. Bit of a steal at the price it's going for right now, too!

Edit: It might not be available in the US, though.
Asus ROG G751JT-T7115H
17.3" IPS, Intel i7-4720HQ, 16Gb RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX970m, 256Gb M.2 SSD + 1Tb SSHD

Do you also know any good sleeves?

These all fit we use a variety at the office

All the OGIO 17 backpacks will fit the g751 they actually used the g751 and gt80 as sizing models when designing their backpacks. We buy them because of the high quality and durable constuction. Many of us ride motorcycles and OGIO is the best backpack line for bikes so they have been doing it for awhile. There are other models which can be found as cheap as $30
Swissgear also makes decent ones i know these few fit a g751 but they tend to be heavier so unless you going hiking or dont mind the extra weight. I actually keep this list around when a new employee asks which backpacks fit the g751.

I like to recommend ROG Nomad, it's the only ROG product i'm satisfied with.
I once used it to transport the new ROG G751JM and my old 15.6 laptop in the middle pocket, in that day it was pretty hot, i had to walk for around 3 kilometers and everything was good, the bag was comfortable, i didn't even sweat with the bag with two laptops in it.

Asus should stop making laptops and stick with computer bags, judging by the quality of their ROG laptops, obviously they are more qualified to do computer bags. 😉

Hope it helps,
Zlatomir

Aeolisio,

Thank you for posting this list. I just got my G751 on WED. However, my search for a backpack started last week when I ordered it. I saw/researched the last Swiss Gear backpack you referenced. I was hoping this one would fit. I am not a gamer, just an Old Redneck Marine that travels to the library, lake house, FL and need a bag to keep it safe. I have a Sony VAIO 17.3 i7 that fits perfectly in a Targus shoulder bag, but the G751 takes up the entire area.

I am going to order tonight. I hope you are correct.

No problem there are a few of that model floating around the office because of the price.
