UEFI Wndows 7 Install VII Hero

I cannot figure this out at all... Every time I run the install via Disk I comes up and my Mouse/Keyboard are disabled making it nearly impossible.

What am I doing wrong? It's driving me nuts. I have Secure boot disabled and everything still not working correctly. Windows 8 install disk however works just fine. I'm at a loss.

Hello Squall_Rinoa89

I see you don't have one listed but are you setting your optical drive as the first boot device when doing the installation?

All right, I'm not sure why you are having difficulties.

On the boot tab set the CSM parameters to enabled and try installing again.

CMS is enabled, boot priority is set for UEFI devices. I get to the first install screen and my mouse/keyboard thats plugged into the 2 USB2 ports turn off and ps/2 port also is disabled... i tried it with my usb to ps2 port adaptor. No go. When i put in my windows 8.1 Install disk i dont have any issues and mouse/keyboard works fine.

P.s.

I hate typing on a smart phone. X.x

All right try this

Go to the advanced tab, usb configuration and disable xHCI.

Set xHCI to SmartAuto. That seemed to work.

Are you able to install windows?

Yup.. i was finally able to install Windows and I'm redoing the system now. Such a pain it proved to be.. not to sure if that was worth the time spent on trying to Install Windows in UEFI mode.
