    As far as I can tell, that's the only difference. Whether it's worth $200 is in the eyes of the credit card holder!

    Interestingly, the "Recommended Customer Price" from Intel for the 2670QM is **identical** to that of the 2630QM, at $378 (see, so the extra $200 is likely going to the vendor's pockets. IMHO, not worth it. Save the extra $200 towards a replacement processor from the i7 2800 Mobile series (for example the 2860QM at 2.5 GHz), which by the way have "Recommended Customer Price" of ~$200 more than the 2670/2630. Its straightforward to drop a new processor into your laptop once you get over the anxiety of disassembly.
