flickering when connected to lcd tv

When i connect my G750jx to my sony lcd tv, the image on the tv flickers, mostly visible around the edges of the tv. I have them connected using the vga ports, since the tv does not have an hdmi port. The laptop has v9.18.13.4709 of nvidias drivers installed.

Any suggestions?



SOLVED: it was a tv problem. i adjusted the pitch and or phase. thank you!

check that your cable (vga) is not passing trough any power cable. Maybe is interference and try changing your refresh rate atleast to 59/60hz

well.. prior to the g750.. i was using an ole dual core hp laptop... and there was no flicker using the same vga cable and same lcd tv and the same resolution and identical refresh rates. Thats why i think it has something to do with the g750. I tried all the resolutions and all the refresh rate. Maybe there are some options in the drivers that'll tweak it just right for me. i just dont know where to look.
