So like it says in the title it would be great if someone would give me an advice on which ssd to buy and install into this thing. If you could be specific exactly which one it would be even better since i want to do nothing wrong (since ive read something somewhere that you need to be careful with the type of ssd so im unsure) it should just a be halfway decent one and around 100-200 gb maybe

Thank you 😄

In my G751JT I use this SSD if you wanna know. http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX100-adapter-Internal-CT256MX100SSD1/dp/B00KFAGCWK
There is a cloning software code (Acronis) inside.

If you don't mind paying for the best I would look at the Samsung 850 pro the fastest and 10 year warranty comes with Samsung Magician tools
G752VY-DH72 Win 10 Pro
512 GB M.2 Samsung 960 Pro
1 TB Samsung 850 pro 2.5 format
980m GTX 4 GB
32GB DDR 4 Standard RAM

Z97 PRO WiFi I7 4790K
Windows 10 Pro
Z97 -A
Windows 10 Pro

X2

The Samsung ssd have had great reviews....both the 850 & 840

yes the 850 is much faster and 10 year warranty far longer than any of us will use them not much difference in the price either.

Looks like the 850 is the better choice...for some reason I was thinking they were a lot more expensive then the 840. Here's a good article comparing the two.... http://www.pcgamer.com/samsung-850-evo-ssd-review/

On Amazon there about the same price maybe $20 difference. I got a flash deal for a 1 TB 850 Pro for $599 I'm running it for a data drive and loving it. There both excellent drives but the 850 has newer technology and longer warranty.

I went for the 840 since the speed of it is still fantastic (and i really dont notice the difference in boot up speed like i dont care if it takes 5 or 6 seconds for boot up) and i also dont really need 10 years of warranty since in 10 years people will laugh at only 256 gb of storage 😄 and so i didnt really want to pay the extra 15 pounds for the 850 (yeah i know people will be like its soo much faster but yeah 😄 )

Can someone please share your experience of installing SSD into G751JT?

More specifically, any hiccups during the hardware installation / cloning the OS from HDD to SSD?

Thanks.

Screws are quite strongly screwed 🙂
