ASUS P9X79 LE + Ivy-Bridge-E i7-4820K for WMware ESXi 5.5. Will VT-x and VT-d work?

Hi all,

I am considering buying the ASUS P9X79 LE + Ivy-Bridge-E i7-4820K in order to setup an ESXi server.
So, a few questions:
1. Does this motherboard supports VT-x and VT-d with an Ivy-Bridge-E (not Sandy-Bridge) CPU? I have seen in other threads that ASUS released a BIOS update, but i'm not sure if it worked for the Ivy-Bridge-E CPUs.
2. Does ASUS virtualization support includes support for Linux based hypervisors, like VMware's ESXi ?

This is my first time building an expensive (for me) setup like this, so I try my best to avoid foolish mistakes...
So - - any help would be much appreciated 🙂
