What happened to the 760?

I was looking for a 2nd GTX 760 Striker and can't find one. Newegg is out of stock and Amazion has them for 500$ and up? What happened to these cards?

Maybe they aren't making them anymore since it's last gen? That would explain the high prices too (low supply = high price).

Asus still has all their products on their site, e.g. my current card: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/MATRIX_5870_P2DIS2GD5/ which I know they haven't made in years (yes, it's very old, I'd love to update it if anyone could get stock of the card I want...grumble grumble...).

You might be better off trying to find a used one, maybe try eBay or Craigslist.

i wonder why indeed .. i have this card and its doing just fine for me but its amazing short after introducing this one there is not much sold of them
