We've published a write up with photos of upgrading the GPU in the g20 to a GTX980. We used a reference card.

I am at the stage where I need to remove my stock hard-drive. I removed a tiny screw and tried to push mounting chassis out but it appears to be stuck. I tried everything to jar it but it wouldn't move. I see that you said that the screw you removed was towards the sata connector side. The one I removed is towards the front of the system just below dvd drive and behind the usb3.0 card on the front of the case. If you could shed some light as to what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a dumb question. What do you guys mean when you say reference card? Is that an actual different card or a tweak or something. I'm not as knowledgeable as I thought I was, apparently. I'm really hoping to upgrade to the GTX 980 but want to make sure I get the right one.

A reference card is just an OEM style card. They typically all look the same regardless of manufacturer so an nVidia and EVGA reference card will look the same. When searching for a 980, just make sure it looks like this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ll,3941-3.html

Yep. As long as it is a reference design it'll fit, no problem.

Do you know by any chance if a titan black or titan Z would work on the G20? as far as power consumption, space and any other compatibilities?

I haven't looked into their detailed specs but as long as the dimensions are the same or less than the 980 it will fit. The 980 is a really snug fit. As far as power consumption, the GPU power supply is rated up to 230W. If a Titan can fit within those then it should work.
