Hey everyone! I always wipe any new laptop I get since I only want a stripped out version of windows 7 running and nothing else 🙂 has anyone posted a fresh install guide for the G751? I've done some searching but came up empty handed. Thanks!

Yep if you want win 7 try Classic Shell you can set up just as you were in 7 only on steroids you won't miss win 7 at all
I agree if you put win 7 on a 751 you'll probably have issues to deal with for basic drivers, not impossible though

Here's where you get your Win 8.1 update ISO
G752VY-DH72 Win 10 Pro
512 GB M.2 Samsung 960 Pro
1 TB Samsung 850 pro 2.5 format
980m GTX 4 GB
32GB DDR 4 Standard RAM

Z97 PRO WiFi I7 4790K
Windows 10 Pro
Z97 -A
Windows 10 Pro

I agree with the others here too, man. Download Classic shell and you'll be just fine with windows 8.1.

I got my G751 a few days ago and did it and it's just like windows 7, but faster 🙂

Thanks guys, I'll give 8.1 a go and see if it's bad as it's been hyped (doesn't sound like it will be tho lol)

I forgot to mention Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for everyone when released who has W8.1 and W7 . I have W10 preview as dual boot on my G751 , its amazing so far and is similar to W7 and much faster than W8.1

I hope ASUS will provide support for Windows 10 on the G751. It would be a real shame if it wasn't supported.

I have bought this laptop with the hope that it would last 3 or 4 years until I sell it for another one -_- . I really hope that we will get the needed support for Windows 10 if it would mean an improvement from 8.1
