Hi,I have just bought an Asus ROG MAXIMUS VII Hero, but since I've bought it I have noticed an annoying audio problem. When a sound starts and when it ends, I hear a very annoying "pop" sound. I have tried to connect an external USB audio card but the problem still remains. I have also reinstalled windows 8.1 avoiding drivers but the problem is still there. So, I've changed the saving energy settings, then I have checked the latency period and it becomes higher only in a few cases and in those cases I don't hear any noise. This noise becomes very clear with the sounds that indicate a windows error.I recorded the noise in this file. You can download it.
