Start up problem all of a sudden ?

Hello,
I am having a problem when starting up this machine.
The machine post's and gets past bios ( using version 0802). Windows screen comes on, little animation starts and finishes and then it just sits at the windows logo.
I have to hard power down and restart.
This is just starting.

Im not exactlty sure what yto do.
I have reset the bios to original settings now. But she has been OC for a long while now with no problems.

Well,
I dont know.
I rebooted and windows asked to do a repair which I did.
I now have rebooted a few times and everything seems ok now.
I am in event viewer and not sure what i am looking at.

Hey

Suspect this is a USB issue.
Unplugg all your USB devices and reboot.

If it works, try out one by one which cause the issue.
Having the same with a old USB 1.5 Joystick 🙂

OK, I will try that.
I will report back, but Ide like to know what Im looking at in event viewer. I am looking online for what those errors mean.

What is the Q code on the LED on the motherboard when it hangs up?

well i dont know.
I'v booted numerous times now. I have restored the over clock (100 x 44 @1.200 V, XMP enabled)
I did remove just 1 usb device (headphones).
I will keep an eye on it and report back.

BTW, I am on BIOS 0802. I see several new BIOS version on the ASUS website. Which is best for my Rampage V Extreme?

See if the 1201 BIOS solves your problem.
