Hi,

I bought yesterday an ASUS G551JM, installed win 8.1 and tried to install Wifi drivers from the following link
http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/G551JM/HelpDesk_Download/
Tried all of them, and still no wifi.

I run an Intel PROSET "Manual Diagnostics Tool" and Failed on the Hardware test: "Failed: Wireless Hardware is not bound to transport driver"
I also checked the Device manager and Wireless controller isn't listed under the newtwork adapters. Seems to be under Other devices.

I am a little bit confused, that ASUS factory drivers doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

UPDATE (SOLUTION):
I downloaded the latest Qualcomm Atheros driver from this site:
https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=60&system=7
I suggest to update ASUS Support site too, to make proper drivers available
