How many SATA 6GB/s slots?

Now im confused. I can count 14 "sata" ports on the picture. 12 of them look like actuall sata ports.

12, provided that you do not put in the PCIE x8 slot (gray) x1-x2 device. If so, you have 10 drives. If you use the x4-x8 device then you only have 8 SATA, because the Express SATA port stops working (is shared)
