    Wireless Connection Speed Issue G751JY

I am having issues with my wireless connection with my G751JY. My service is a 10mb/s download speed and I am only getting half of this speed. My router is the Linksys WRT1900AC. I have the G751JY sitting right beside a MAC and the MAC reaches right at 10mb/s. I then run a test on the G751JY and it hovers right at 5mb/s. What is going on here?

Thanks for any help in advance.

My service is 10mb/s but I am only getting 5mb/s.

Or are you asking something else?

Sorry I think I got you now. It shows that it is running at AC speed 866 I believe it was.

Have you done any testing to see if the issue is related only to the internet or is it any wireless connection? Can you copy files to an other PC over wireless and see how \fast it will go? with a 866mpbs technically you should get something around 100MB/s. Just let is now how fast you can read/write over wireless.

Transferred data from my external hard drive attached to my router at 22MB/s. That's over USB 2.0 so I should get somewhere near 60MB/s if I am thinking correctly.

Do you have Game First installed? If so try uninstalling it.

    Edit:
initially Im thinking 22mb on a USB 2 is not bad, also if you can get 22mb on ur wireless lan then you should be able to handle your 10mb connection with no issues. I'm leaning more towards you have a software issue.
    try updating drivers too.
