Bios confusion
I built my computer in December of 2014 and downloaded the the latest bios at that time.
When I go into my bios the number at the top of the main page is 2201. On Asus website today the latest bios
is 2012 dated 10/31/14 which is before I downloaded my bios. What should the latest bios number be when viewed
in the computer bios ?
I noticed Asus deleted some later bios files this week. I never downloaded any of them only the one in December.
Did Asus remove the bios I downloaded in December and replace it with 2012?Last edited by wing_man; 03-31-2015 at 07:07 PM.

No. There is an issue withe the download site, not with the actual BIOS updates.
There are other posts on this forum that explain the issue better. Bottom line is, don't worry.

Sure.... and that issue is affecting only a few bios files and nothing else... you have to be a little naive to believe that
I think they messed up really big and now they are trying to fix it avoiding public shame

I guess I am naive. But this has happened before, admittedly, not for this length of time. I can only speak for the BIOS for my Maximus VII Ranger. I updated to v2304 and it works like a charm and I have no issues with it. Yet the ASUS site now lists v2102 as the latest.
Yes someone screwed up, but it will be sorted I am sure.
I like to give people the benefit of doubt. Easy for me to say as I don't have any issues I realize that.

Yeah because it takes at least a week to re-upload a few files that was wrongfully deleted.
