i have no idea why it says "1.Support 5th-Generation Intel Core Processors" when this support is for our CPUs we have now lol.

I wonder if there are more processors in the pipeline that Intel has not announced yet?

I don't think so the next set of chips come out in 2016.

Here is your answer to that.

Those 5th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processors listed in the Intel website url you posted are not for the x99 platform. It seems those are Laptop Processors with a FCBGA1168 socket.

The Support for the 5th-Generation Intel Core Processors added to this BIOS will mostly be for Broadwell-E
Intel i7 5960X @ OC 4.5GHz, Asus R5E, XSPC AX360, G.Skill Ripjaws 4 16GB DDR4-3000MHz, BeQuiet 1200W PSU, Cooler Master Cosmos 2, Zotac GeForce GTX 980 AMP, Creative X-Fi Titanium, 2 X Samsung 840 EVO 250GB RAID 0, 2 X Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB RAID 0, LG BH10LS30

These are not X99 chipset CPUs, they are for laptops.

5th Gen. = Broadwell architecture

5th Gen. for X99 (R5E) = Broadwell-E
