Bug: Rampage V extreme crashes on reboot (AE status)

By bios is up-to-date (1302)

Every time that I reboot after changing any bios settings, the Motherboard stops on a black screen with a white dash.

There are a lot of users with this problem:

(we have similar hardware: R5E, Asus VGA, Intel i7 59**)

What can we do?

I think this is a MB bug

Which settings are you changing? Also list the models of all the SSDs and HDDs that are connected to your system.

Hi Chino, thanks for your answer. The problem happens with any settings change.

For example it happens if I change CPU frequency (go down of 100 MHz).

My disks are:

- Samsung SSD 850 Pro 256GB
- Samsung SSD 840 Pro 128 GB
- OCZ Vertex 2 128 GB
- WD black 1 TB
- WD black 1 TB
- WD green 2 TB

Thank you

Oh really? Can a SSD not be compatible with Haswell platform?

Where can I find these information?

Thank you

Oh sorry,

I checked my SSD better: it is an OCZ VECTOR. I cannot find online if it is compatible.

Is it compatible?

Thank you

the vector is a 6Gb/s card so it ifs not effected according to above link.

So the AE error should be related to something else... right? What could I do?

Try disconnecting all your HDDs and SSDs except for the one with the OS on it. See if the problem still occurs.
