Hi I have put a systems together using the Asus crosshair V formula z, plugged in is an fx 9590, 2x Samsung pro ssd (raid 0), 32gb Kingston xmp beast 2400mhz oc ddr3, 2x asus 760gtx in sli, quad tv tuner, and a 16 port sas controller, I have a hydro h105, and Loads of fans round the cooler and case. Tryed just going into bios and just setting ratio multiplier to 25 (5ghz), and my memory on the xmp profile listed at 2400mhz, don't know much about custom dimm and cpu settings, thing don't boot, so I'm running my cpu @ 4.8, and my memory @ 1800mhz, I'm not saying its slow, u blink and its done, but I have bought them for what they are black OC editions, id love too run um that way :), id post a pick but my rooms bit messy 🙂

If your BIOS is updated, the Ai Overclock tuner should be able to select XMP timing profiles, the same way it allows me to select AMP profiles.

After you select XMP, double check to make sure that the Profile it is using is correct. I understand that XMP can have several. (My AMP memory just has the one)

I fetched this info from the Kingston listing on the string of "32gb Kingston xmp beast 2400mhz oc ddr3"
I have no way of actually knowing if this is correct without an actual model number.
XMP TIMING PARAMETERS
• JEDEC: DDR3-1600 CL11-11-11 @1.5V
• XMP Profile #1: DDR3-2400 CL11-13-14 @1.65V
• XMP Profile #2: DDR3-2133 CL11-13-13 @1.6V

Going off that chart, you want to select XMP Profile #1 for 2400MHz.

I hope that helps.
