G20 AJ & Titan X? doable? not?
I know it's probably inconceivable but you think there will be a version of the Titan X that would work with the G20?
current specs on the net say it is a 250W card.
I suppose we'd have to settle on the GTX 980 huh?
Would Asus release higher capacity external PSUs for the G20 system to compensate? like say a 2nd 230w or maybe a 300w PSU to replace the 180 or 230?

Better to wait for the actual product to be released if specs can affect compatibility. Final specs often change. And NVidia's partners have a tradition of modifying specs further by manufacturing enthusiast cards with tweaked non-reference designs.

They are going to test Titan-X soon, but a retail version is unlikely to appear before the summer.

Yeah i figured as much, just hoping to see what vendors come up with (such as asus
) I'm guessing its more likely a 980 Ti would work in the G20AJ whenever it comes out compared to the Titan X.
Unless you boys can come up with a water cooling kit for the G20 >_>

You could mod a G20 with an external kit!

A bigger Asus power supply brick than the 230W "MIGHT" work, if there is one.
The Asus G20 provided 230W power supply brick is: 19.5V x 11.8A = 230.1W
I don't know if two 230W power supply bricks could be used.
180W+ 230W= 410W
230W+ 230W= 460W
460W- 180W= 280W available for a video card
I don't know if the extra 50W could be even used, or applied to the video card.
The Nvidia Titan X Reference card Graphics Card Power (W) is 250W. That's for a standard, non-overclocked video card. If that 250W is the average, minimum, or maximum, isn't noted.Last edited by GoHack; 03-24-2015 at 09:30 PM.

i think i'll wait until next summer and see what Asus ROG can come up with in a Ref card form factor either as a 980TI or with a TITAN X cuz Im holding off replacing the GTX 760 in the G20AJ US009S
