New Computer Crash. VRAM Cause?

Hi, I've just purchased the ROG G20AJ. Specs include:

i7 4790 3.6 Ghz.
Intel H97
NVIDIA GTX 760
Asus 180 W + 230 W Power Supply
Samsung 16 GB Ram

Edit: My GTX 760 only has 2GB of VRAM. Under heavy load, my GPU memory exceeds 2000MB and up to 2050MB = GPU Crash.
Is this insignificant overload enough to crash my computer? How would you confirm this? Is a stock GPU crash indicative of a "spoiled apple" in the batch?

There not much testing you can do. You could check temperatures to see if the problem is overheating. Maybe one of the fans died?

However, I believe RMA is the best option you can do.
