Motherboard was removed from the case earlier, along with all other hardware.
GPU, RAM, and all cables disconnected. Just before reading this I had removed the cpu and checked all pins.
It looked fine so I reseated the cpu and attached the h100i cooler. Do you want it removed again?

    Correct.

Put your motherboard on top of the cardboard box that it came in. Install your CPU and H100i. Insert one stick of RAM into the DIMM_A1 slot. Connect the 24 pin, 8 pin and 4 pin power cables. Install your GPU and install the corresponding PCIe cables. Connect your monitor to your GPU. Then push the Start button on the motherboard.

    Report back your results.

Does this mean the motherboard is now useless and could this be what is causing my issues?

If your socket is stuffed then the CPU can't function and nothing that requires a (BIOS) driver will ever get initialized.

I called Asus support this morning and discovered I hadn't plugged in all power cables. There were a few other places
that I should have plugged in power cables. Still, thanks to everyone who worked with me to resolve my issue.
