Ok guys new question.

I'm looking at a 3 way sli build ( i run my home pc at 5760x1080p). now i was wondering if i should get a board with a PLX or just buy the 5820k. i was informed that the 4790k is the better choice that why i was wondering if a plx chip would be worth it because the 4790k is a beast of a processor. Before you ask i mostly play WoW, BF4, Civ 5 and a few other games (all at ultra). i will be taking parts from me current build and incorporating them into the new one

I believe your GPU's have lots more to do with how you want to run your graphics, but you have already stated that it's a SLI setup, between the CPU's, I would go for the 4970K before the 5820k, that said the X99 MB's has newer technology. If it is mostly gaming you will not go wrong with the 4970K.

i would say it depends on the monitor connectors, and what sort it is.
is it dvi? is it DP/mDP, is it HDMI?
theres a upcoming new motherboard gen coming now this summer.
if you are not in a hurry you can wait and see whats coming out.
