I have the cpu working at 3.9 because of my mobo and i want to know the voltage that i should put to have more...
its possible to put more that 4.0?

Hello, do you mean 1.40v?

I did many Phenom II builds over the years. You can go as high as 1.45v for 24/7 but heat becomes a factor.
What CPU cooler are you using? Also, does your 965 have C2 or C3 stepping?

For now i'm using the cooler that comes with the cpu
for what i've seen on cpu id i have the stepping 3

It's very unlikely that you can go above 4.0GHz with a Phenom II.
I owned both C2 and C3 965's and most all of them would do 4.0 max.
My best Phenom II that I ever had was a 1100T that did 4.126GHz.

Yes, I would recommend a closed loop liquid cooler like the Corsair H100i.
