Hi, I seem to have some problems with my ROG SWIFT monitor in Windows 8.1 (?)

#1 - As soon as I choose 144 Hz in Windows my monitor just starts flickering like crazy
#2 - When the monitor goes into sleep mode and I try to wake it up, I get this "out of range" message and I have to unplug the DisplayPort cable and back in again to get it work...

There has been previous threads about this - here is one - seems like it could be the cable
