G72GX Notebook's keyboard backlight suddenly not working. No matter what I do.

Today my keyboard backlight did not come on. Fn+F4 would not turn it on and the lights no longer flash on startup.
I reinstalled both ATK media and ATKOSD2 to no avail. All of the other F keys seem to be in working order. To my knowledge, no significant
changes were made to the Notebook prior to the problem. What is going on? Thanks, -Mike

In my laptop I seem to remember that the backlight have a separate power connection. Might be worth checking if that have come loose, if it's the same in your laptop?
Asus ROG G55VW:
CPU: i7 3630QM
GFX: Geforce GTX660M with 2GB ram
RAM: 2x8Gb 2133MHz Kingston HyperX Impact (surprisingly the G55VW uses the 2133 X.M.P. profile)
Storage: RAID0 with 2x 256Gb Crucial SSDs (both msata, one in a sata adapter)
OS: Windows 10 x64

Interesting. Do you know how I would go about checking that connection?

Simply having to open up your laptop and removing the top keyboard will expose all the ribbon connections from keyboard to motherboard. my led connection is a brown small in width ribbon. Check on youtube for a disassembly of your laptop some are very detailed telling you what everything is

Thank you so much!
