GL551JM - Upgrade GPU

i just saw that the ROG GL551JW is up on Amazon and it comes with a GTX960. is there any way to upgrade my GL551JM (gtx 860) with this card?

There's really no point. It's just numbers.
From what I have read the 960M is pretty much just a rebranded 860M. The real world performance is nearly identical.
Tech is always advancing at a rate that consumers can't keep up with. As soon as you leave the store your new device is already obsolete! lol

Just enjoy your machine, it's a beast 🙂

It is generally not possible to upgrade the GPU (or CPU for that matter) in notebook computers. The components are soldered to the mainboard. Your only option would be to purchase a replacement mainboard with the video chipset you desire. Note that this is seldom cost effective, requires better-than-average skills, and definitely voids any warranty coverage.
