    G-SYNC randomly stops working

I recently purchased my ROG SWIFT and it has been great except for G-SYNC failing to work at times. After a fresh boot it will work 100% of the time, but after a while it just stops working. It has never stopped while in a game as far as i have noticed, but after the system has been on for a while and i run a game it just doesn't work.

The drivers report that G-SYNC is on, and it's set to G-SYNC in Manage 3D Settings. When this happens i have tried the G-SYNC Pendulum Demo and i can't turn on G-SYNC inside the demo. Sometimes i can fix this by unplugging the displayport and reconnecting, but most of the time i need to reboot to fix it.

I am using the latest drivers with a GTX980 running Windows 8.1.

You might have a bad DisplayPort cable.

I thought as much as well, i went out and bought a new Displayport cable and have been using it since, unfortunately the problem still occurs.
