    Asus 39" monitor

    Hello

I was just wondering if this monitor will be available soon, I see it was announced almost 2 years ago.

    Thanks

I am hoping ASUS will make a 32" 2K 120hz Gsync/Freesync LCD. 27" is too small for 2K and 32" is just right.

That's just a preference. I find HD 1920x1080 ("2K") displayed on a panel sized over approximately 27-28" is too dim and grainy, a 32" would look terrible to me unless it has some sort of "3K" resolution.

Not saying that your preference is less valid than mine, though. We would all benefit from Asus making a variety of monitors in a variety of resolutions and sizes.

    Uh, regarding PC LCD's
    1K is 1920X1080 (6:9) OR 1920x1200 (6:10)
    2K is 2560X1440 (6:9) or 2560X1600 (6:10)
    4K is 3840X2160 (6:9)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_resolution

REF: Occasionally, 1080p (Full HD or FHD) has been included into the 2K resolution definition. However, this appears to be incorrect consumer assumption, rather than official inclusion into the resolution terminology, as older media, web content, and books on video production and cinema references define 1080P and 2K resolutions as separate definitions and not the same. According to official reference material, DCI doesn't officially recognize 1080p as a 2K resolution in official literature concerning 2K and 4K resolution.[1] [2][3] [5][6]

So, my request in on 2K 2560X1440 (6X9) LCD with Gsync/Freesync 120Hz with a 32" screen which will be perfect. A 39" will work too, but be to big 'in my face' at the computer desk.

    We guru's need a replacement of the 30" @ 2560X1600 and 32" is perfect for 6:9 @ 2560X1440

We do do a 32" WQHD monitor specifically for the US market, but not FreeSync/GSync/120Hz sorry. The combination of features you're asking for doesnt exist.

39" was cancelled long ago - only interest was in 32", which will remain our largest size for a while.
