I have no idea what exactly are you saying; please provide a link with the problematic firmware, maybe we get some info there; or post some screenshots with the issue, the file-name or whatever.
for hero vii and ranger vii you have some links on page 3 in this topic.

    edit:
I see now, the zip file is ....2601N.zip, the cap file is also 2601N and is newer, but I have no idea why they changed it again and only the file names, nothing new in the descriptions.
When I get home I'll try to make the time and flash the new one, but asus is a duchbag again, not saying a word about the change or the reason for it.

Yeah I wish asus would let us know what was changed/fixed cause I updated to bios 2601 on 4/03/15. Redone all my overclocks twice in a matter of days because bios 2401 had major issues. Now I see bios 2601 is 2601N and dated 4/07/15 so something was changed/added.

I wonder if I save my overclock .CMO profiles with 2601 they will work with 2601N?

    Anyone with Asus please comment?

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Are you using NWMe ssd or Broadwell prosessor or why do you have to udate BIOS? It isn't bringing any performance gains like updating gpu drivers would. I'm running with old 2102 BIOS and everything is working fine and I won't update unless there's a fix or support update that I need.

That is my question specifically, IS IT BROKE?

When I updated to 2401 everything seemed fine for a few days then I started having issues so just cause everything seems ok doesnt
    necessarily mean it is.

I always update to newest bios you never know what benefits or stability you could be missing if you dont, Asus is NOT transparent
about changes that are made. It might be best though to wait a week or so before updating to the newest bios as I am finding out. This is the first time I have had an issue but from now on I shall let others be beta testers.

    Just noticed......
    bios 2601 5.64mb
    bios 2601N 5.78mb

@ Pheuno, Why ask stupid questions? Are you using a cpu that doesnt exist, or a $3000 ssd, probably not.
BTW If you need to know my components they are all highlighted in bold red below

I finally managed to update my Ranger to 2601. For some strange reason, last night when I downloaded the BIOS file direct from ASUS, the file name was slightly different having an 'N' appended to end of the file name.

However, ASUS file renamer did it's job and I successfully updated my Mobo.

    ASUS obviously did something.

    Sorted now. Thanks.

For hero VII I have the exact same size for 2601 and 2601N, 8.194 KB the cap file and 5.659 KB archived.
Files that I have from here:

I have the Motherboard Asus Maximus VII Gene and when im going to the bios folder in the website of Asus i found many confused things.
I download the Bios 2401 and flashed ok. Some days later found 2501 and flashed ok. Now i found many problems with 2601 bios in website and the 2401 and 2501 disappeared. Why?
Can i flash to the 2601?

Of course you can; how many times they can f***up in a row ?
Personally I'm bored with setting up stuff in bios so I'll hold my horses for a wile; a few hours or a few days, depending on how my gaming sesions go
