intel 750 boot drive install on r5e help

Hi,
I am going to build a system with r5e and intel 750 ssd as boot drive.
I would appreciate any advice for this setup with uefi bios settings to install winsows 8.1.

also would it be better to use 2.5" ssd setup or pcie card setup?? Intel 750 offer both types of drive.
The 2.5" requires cables and a card to fit int the m.2 slot.
Thanks

Your choice.

The PCIe will be more expensive, but faster.

If had the money, I'd skip both for the 480GB Fusion ioFX.

Almost no degrade, much faster, much more stable etc. And it's a very reputable drive.

I'd say PCIe...

The M2 card looks like it means no GPU in first slot on R5E ?

OK if you run card in 3rd lane..but means no SLI etc.

Nope.

Only 4way SLI becomes impossible with m.2 ssd installed, since the m.2 socket shares pcie lanes with the last red x16socket at the edge of the board,
that is the only pcie slot that gets disabled with m.2 drive installed and enabled from BIOS.

((I did both 2way and 3way SLI, both worked fine with m.2 installed.))

I'm talking physically...and running SLI in recommended slots 1 and 3 PCIe 3.0 x16x16
