Now I am a bit unclear on this PCIe usage. I thought that if I had 2 way SLI in slots 1 and 4, a sound card in slot 3, that if I installed this new SSD in slot 6 that my video cards would go to x16, x8. I am not so sure now. The sound card is an x1 device. The SSD PCIe is an x4 device. I could install the latter SSD in either slot 6 or slot 2. I think my 2 video cards would still run at x16. ?? Anyone know definitely here? Chino's response was that x16,x8 sounds correct, but do we know for sure?? Thanks.
