ROG RAMdisk software

Hi all -

I have an older board (Maximus V Gene). I called Asus tech support and, as usual, was let down. The guy didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about, nor did he seek help to find out. I'm trying to find out where I can get the software. I checked the downloads section on this site but couldn't find it, and I checked the disk that came with my motherboard, but no joy there, either. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks ~

Try this link, Asus sometimes offers different software for each OS version, so go through them all until you find ROG RAMDisk. Alternately, you could try the software download pages for other ROG motherboards - I think the software for any ROG motherboard will work on any ROG motherboard, assuming it can detect the special-sauce onboard ROG chip.

Positively brilliant call! I feel kinda silly for not even thinking of checking the other ROG board downloads. However, mission accomplished, so THANKS!!! For those that might peruse the forums and come across this post, I found the software here:

Cheers!

Just a note. I am having problems with the latest release of Ramdisk on my RIVE Black, I referred back to the last one on my MB's download page and it works fine.

Hi all!
My first post...

Not too easy to find, so if it's allowed, I'll add a direct link to the ROG RAMdisk software, here: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/RAMDisk_Win7-8-8-1_V20206.zip

If it's not okay, then I'd imagine it won't stay around here long (sorry for that in advance...)

Is the above link an official Asus download site?
Be careful what you are downloading.
Looks suspicious to me. 😞

Is there some way to get the latest software version? ASUS rarely updates the motherboard page (RIVBE for me) but there are later versions out there.

dlcdnet. is a subdomain of asus.com, just like www. or anything else in front of a domain name with a . between them.

...for personal use.
DataRAM are the creators of RAMDisk. Free version is towards the bottom of their page. Personally, I use it for my TEMP directories, downloads, and expanding compressed files. You can set it to save and reload the disk image upon shutdown and reboot or just start fresh/empty each time.

On my Maximus VI Formula its Crystal Disk Mark is over 12000. Boom, drop the mike.

Hello everyone!

Installed 128 GB of memory and ROG RAMDisk 2.03.00.
ROG RAMDisk only allows 96,075 MB of 128,000 to be allocated, although there is still 26,165 MB free. The slider of the program window does not allow more memory to be allocated. Is this a 96,075 MB limit? What does it depend on?
