(Advice sought and needed!) - Ripjaws 4 2666Mhz vs HyperX Predator DDR4 3000MHz 16GB

Hey there, Gamers, Crazy Overclockers! Swaggers! Extreme builders! And Man-Cavemasters!

A problem has emerged after an order of my new gaming rig, and I need to choose what ram I wish in it, instead of Ripjaws 4 3000mhz "Since they are currently not possiable to order from that store".

There ain't that much time to decied in either, it seemse, so I have to give back an answer soon.

The choice stand between these.

Ripjaws 4 2666 MHz vs HyperX Predator DDR4 3000MHz 16GB

And last, but least possiable "since they can't get them it seemse as it is, but things may change but chances are slim", 3000MHz Ripjaws 4, which my cpu has confirmed can run about "2750MHz" functional. But again, I may have to wait long/Or the chances are I can't get them at all.

My computer originally had them put in "As a bonus" since Ripjaws 2666mhz was out of stock, but an order mix up / problem got my ram switched over in another pc. By mistake - This is not the subject however.

Which of the ram choices would be the best?

I have posted my spec/build down below too.

Price is no object cause I ain't gonna pay more for the mistake. And please if you vote for Ripjaws 4 3000mhz, throw a vote for a secondary option too since
the chances are slim to non on that.

A note! It seemse HyperX Predator DDR4 3000MHz 16GB is able to run 3000mhz all out. Whilst Ripjaws 4 can only run up to 2750Mhz.

All memory is able to run at their advertised speed. They have been binned at that speed after all. If you're not able to run your memory at that speed, it's either because your CPU is holding you back or you're not setting them up correctly.

Back to your question. If given the Predator 3000MHz kit or Ripjaws 4 2666MHz kit, the Ripjaws 4 kit will always be my choice. I've always had good experiences with RAM from G.Skill. Plus the Ripjaws 4 works really well on the X99 platform.

So faar I am very much on the G.Skill side too, was ONLY due to problems getting the ram/waiting time I reconsindered. But I wanted to know
if the G.Skill 2666mhz really out matched even the Kingston 3000mhz.

Had old Kingston who died on me.. But it was low low budget versions soo.. Not sure I can frame the brand on that. - But yeah another vote for Ripjaws!

Thanks Nate152 😄

As faar as I know, intel promis not much more than 2400mhz usable on their cpu's. I can't be very wrong, and its a lotterly if you get it to work on 3000mhz.

But Ripjaws 4 you suggest Chino, thanks for the feedback 😄

50 views and only one bothered to answer. I would -love- you guys to give som feedback, I need it direly and it would be much appreciated 🙂

G.Skill is one of the best ram manufacturers out there, I've never had any problems with G.Skill ram and the price to performance is about as good as it gets.

I recommend G.Skill ram to everyone. 🙂

5960x can it run it all at 3000mhz or is it a pure lottery? Aaah yes its 2133MHz, was in doubt 🙂

So faar my old Ripjaws 3000mhz was only able to run 2750. It may be fixable but it seemed that way.

As Chino says it will depend on the cpu's imc but 16GB at 3000MHz shouldn't be much of a problem.

You may need to bump up the cpu system agent voltage a little to hit 3000MHz.

Explain deeper about Cpu's imc. I like to know, since my computer manufactor says its a gamble. I could ask them to give me another cpu since I want one that
can run 3000mhz. But is it abit deeper then that? -

I have ordered my pc but not paid yet, so things are "changeable".
