Maximus VII Formula - USB ports won't always start after restart

Greetings,

I have a peculiar situation here. I use my UPS, that is connected via USB [don't care about this one], but I use Creative X7, which is connected via USB. Sometimes [way too often], when I start computer, I can't connect my UPS, nor my soundcard. Restart is required.

I just updated BiOS [UEFi] today to the newest, but I don't that'll solve the problem,

any clues?

My OS is Win 8.1, but it did it in Windows 7 too,

I have problems with this also that usb devices drop off sometimes on my hero VII to me helped to use usb hub
If you fully update your win 8.1 problem go away.

Margus - thank You for Your kind reply. Hmm, I will try that, I have one USB Hub. Do You think that is some ASUS issue, or it's Windows based issue? I have Windows 8.1 Professional updated and legal, so there shouldn't be any trouble.

You might check in bios to see if Advanced/USB Configuration/Intel xHCI Mode is set to Smart Auto.
