Monitor Resolution for G75V

Hello.
There are some threads similar to this but they don't give me the exact answers that I would like to get. So, could someone help me with these, please:

1. Does the graphic card generate video signal for both HDMI and DisplayPort connection? Or is it the Intel CPU that does it for the Display Port and GPU for HDMI?
2. I have been running an external monitor in 1920 x 1080 without any problem. Now I am getting a new monitor and thinking if I should get 2560x1440. I am not playing any games. Sometimes I work with photos and [watching/editing] videos but nothing fancy, so I don't need a high FPS. Will it handle it alright?
3. [Hopes are] Will it be able to handle Samsung S34E790C with 3440x1440?
4. Is it better to go HDMI or DisplayPort for the external monitor?

1. Intel HD is complexly disabled in the G75
2. Your 760 will handle that resolution
3. You can check with Asus but as far back as 2008 my SA70 handled that resolution on my Gateway 30" using Dual DVI port
4. Display port is far superior to HDMI I think HDMI only support 1080?

Thanks Clintlgm! For the point 2, I hope you mean 670M, not 760, or?

It seems like I might give 3440x1440 a try. I tried to contact Asus before, but got an answer that was not as helpful as I hoped (to say the least):

So in this case we can't really say more than this about external screen.

Because in windows enviorment, the internal graphic card is the one who runs the screens.
Not the exernal graphics card.

I contacted them one more time asking the same question. I will try see if I can get any help from NVidia support and maybe a seller of the monitor asking the same question about supporting resolution.

These NVidia cards will support the resolutions. Like I said my M70sa Asus notebook from 2008 supported very high resolutions on my 30" Gateway monitor it will take the Daisplay port to get it however as I 'm pretty sure HDMI only supports 1080
Unfortunately that gateway 30" monitor lasted about 8 months. Fry's gave me my money on it as unrepairable so I never got to try in on my G75 which I got in 2012
