Gtx 970 low frames
Hi, I recently bought the ASUS Strix GTX 970.
Is it normal that in Batman Arkham City that i'm getting around 50 fps on maxed settings?
Or Borderlands 2 frequently drops to 35 fps?
I had someone tell me that my PSU could be limiting the card, even though it reaches 98% usage.
But for the point of information, I have a Corsair CX 600w PSU
I am also running an i5 3340 @ 3.3 Ghz
Thanks in advance

Hello hjmhkh
Welcome to the ROG forum !
You have your gtx 970 maxed out with 98% gpu usage. What resolution are you gaming at and are you using Antialiasing?

Well it might hit 100% and I just don't notice, I mean it's obviously not throttling to 50 or something.
My resolution is always set to 1080 and I usually have AA on MSAA x8.
Is it that i'm expecting too much from the card and should knock down AA?

In borderlands 2, I put every setting on the lowest it could be and it's the same. Drops to 35 and frequently below 60 fps

yeah back off the AA 8x is too much, try it at x2 or x4 this will get you more FPS.

No I doubt it's your psu, the gtx 970 calls for a minimum of a 500w psu.
Have you lowered the AA? AA puts a big hit on performance.

Have you tried updating to the latest NVidia driver 352.86?
If you update to the new driver here is what I do. After the license agreement click custom/advanced install. Uncheck everything except the graphics driver and PhysX driver then just below check the only box that says perform a clean installation.
I don't use Geforce experience or the NVidia audio drivers.
Give this a try and see if it helps performance any.
