I've had a Cooler Master Extreme 2 725EX2 PSU blow out after less than a year of use. And then discovered that it was a rebranded Seasonic B-Grade (and that the model had been discontinued, lol). Seasonic is among the best brands, usually, at least the A-Grade stuff is. But I don't personally consider Cooler Master a good brand for PSUs anymore, they've failed me for the last time lol, and there's plenty of other (excellent) alternatives to choose from.

I will throw it into a less demanding build, it works but worries me. But back to the my question, do you think that it caused any other damages within the system at 11.7 (lowest observed under loads) booting at 11.9? Or has my cpu degraded in 2 months with hard OC, but no long term high temps (1minute benches with temps fluctuating to high 75ishC) idling and operating 30-40C

No, 11.7 didn't cause this. As was mentioned, even the strictest spec allows voltage to drop to 11.4 so you are still within spec. Most likely this is just wear from the OC. I've had a similar situation where a CPU seemed solid for months and then required me to back it down to regain stability. Silicon varies in quality to start then wears out, and faster from OC'ing, so that is certainly possibility. It's also possible that the PSU did something you didn't capture and something was damaged by dirty power, just not based on your observations.

Keep in mind that your CPU is not guaranteed to OC to any speed. If it works at stock speed then it is working as intended. Also, if you damage your CPU while overclocking it is not covered by warranty unless you bought an Intel Performance Tuning Protection Plan ahead of time. Doing anything else would be highly unethical.

He's already struggling with this hardware. Is it really necessary to kick him when he's down?

Sry bbaxter18 for mocking you while you were serious about problem solving.
