Case Ideas

Hey Everyone!

So I build my first computer about4 years ago, and recently I have gotten the itch to rebuild/build a new computer by swapping out some parts with newer ones and using some others. I would like to add a custom loop to the build, but am struggling to find a case that meets my criteria. I think finding a nice case has been harder than picking the parts out. Anyways, I am looking for a case that has a large side window panel to where a good view of the insides including the entire loop including reservoir can be seen. I am going for a white/red build so a white case would be ideal. HOWEVER, I have no problem buying a black case and doing some work and just repaintint it white.

So any suggestions on cases is greatly appreciated.

This is a list of parts that I have selected for my new build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ytzvQ7

If you have any suggestions on switching a part out with a better part or because it may not work with the water build, please I am open to any and all suggestions.

Again, thanks for the help!

Hello HeyItsRon, and welcome to ROG.

Here's a case that you may like...Cooler Master Storm Stryker.

Here's a club thread dedicated to the CM Storm Trooper & Stryker cases.

You'll find lots of info about what members have done with these cases.

I noticed in your PartsPicker list, that you have (2) 8GB Kits of G.Skill Ripjaws X Series (already purchased). You'll probably have problems with the 2 kits in one system. Have a read here, as Raja explains it best.

And/or here, as I tried to explain in Layman's terms.

Enjoy your new build.

Hello HeyItsRon

Welcome to the ROG forum !

Yep as Ntwlf says a single 16GB kit is the way to go to avoid potential problems and headaches.

For cases I been liking the caselabs pc cases. They cost a little more than most other cases and are customizable. (If that's a word)

You can have it done in white too !

Thanks for the quick replies, I've had the two kits in my current build for over a year now and haven't come across any problems (maybe I got lucky). But with the replacement of the mobo and cpu, I might have problems and if I do, at least I know where to look first haha. What have you guys heard if anything of the Enthoo Primo/Pro/Luxe?

The ethno primo is a good case too, there is a lot of room and options for water cooling.

Here is a review from tech powerup.
