Well first of all hello, I ve recently bought an asus laptop and its the g73sw-3de ... recently it started flashing screen when i have the option of stereoscopic 3d activated on nvidia control panel and i start to play a game ... ive tried it with several drivers and still the same
its kinda weird when it start flashing when i close the application (alt f4) ... everything appear to be ok ... and if i disable the stereoscopic 3d on nvidia control panel ... all fine too ... i gonna try 285.38 driver now -- edit: didnt worked the 285.38 driver ... well im out of ideas about this
Well i got more info i think the problem is relationed with 120hz display ... if i use 120hz and even disable stereoscopic 3d when the temperature reach around 60 celsius, it starts flashing ... so i guess the problem is with 3d display (120hz) any ideas ?
Well i dont know if it supposed to run at 120Hz ... i ve setted the display on 120hz and the problem happened if i set at 60hz the problem doesnt show up ... my question is: is the display supposed to run at 120hz?
Yes, 120Hz is the mode used for 3D. If it is overheating or having other problems at that refresh rate then there is something wrong and you should return it or have it serviced under warranty.
