Hi,

Recently purchased Rampage III extreme. Had a older mobo P5WDH deluxe. Now collected GTX 470, 6 GB DDR3 mem, 2x2 TB seagate HDD, Corsair H70 cooler, i7 930 proc and ultimate windows 7. Forgot all about setting up RAID and other technicalities. Kindly advise step by step setting up of the amazing mobo. This mobo and other items just sitting on my bed and been watching it, afraid it might bite.

Few general steps on setting up raid (using ICH10R):
1) go into bios > storage config: change the operation mode of the SATA controller to 'RAID'. Save and reboot.
2) press the crtl + l to enter raid configuration menu.
3) create your raid array, save and reboot.
4) Install windows if the raid is your primany drive.

Hi otto,

Big problem otto. After setting up and turning the power on, the mobo lights up. The start button, bios led all lights up, but no fans are running. Not even the case fans. I read in some forums that removing one 12 volt 8 pin connector will do the trick. I removed it and now when i power on the fans do one rev and stops. Is the psu 850 w corsair not enough ? What is the problem ? Kindly help.
