Crosshair IV overheating 1055t...Please Help!!

Retired

Hey guys new to the fourm hope you can help,

I got a Crosshair IV paired with a 1055t and 16Gb of Gskill 1600 ram, my computer is not overclocked and has stock cooling, but what happens is ill be doing something like scrolling newegg and the cpu fan will just kick up and start spinning really fast, ill look at amd overdrive and it says my cpu is somthing like 49c for just using google chrome with like no cpu usage. the room my computer stays in is a computer room, AC on all year long, so it shouldnt be a temperature problem in the room, and this problem happens everytime im using my computer..it gets really frustrating and i dont want to damage any of my computer parts so i shut down my computer. Thanks for your help and i hope you can help
- Larry

Sounds like you have a case airflow/circulation problem.

A good way to tell is by removing the side panel, if your temps drop, then you will need to improve the ariflow.

The DF-85 seems to be a decent case, but I prefer the Cooler Master HAF series.

stock AMD cooler is as $hitty as you can go, get something like Zalman or Corsair, or go liquid.
that was one of main issues with my buddy's computer, still is.
right now I have Antec Three Hundred, but that was on sale at local best buy, with SSD mount, cant beat $45
personally I love Lian-Li, they made out of aluminum, which helps dissipate heat, and brushed metal looks good,
Next time I will try to get my hands on Cooler Master Stacker 830.
