Very impressive conformal coat Chew, At quake con i was able to watch crew pour coolant all over the board and have it roll right off with no residue!!!!!

looks to be extremely durable, too bad boards are not shipped from the factory pre-coated

Nice thread Chew*. How good is insulating coating? Than no need so much eraser behind CPU?

Only need eraser where pin contacts will be, other than that board is waterproof.

People have seen me bench before literally with water just pouring off board.

Nice chew! Your CPU pot looks like it gained about 5 pounds from all the ice. Did you break any CPU or 3DMark recxords on that R3E?

I'm not sure mason, that particular board is being passed around to some people with a chip currently for some 3d benching.

One can only hope records are broken.

I'm gonna take a stab at some i7 920 action when it gets back.

Hey chew, What is the specific application do you put on? I've seen some put on nail polish before.

Wish it was a bunch of money heh, think its like 3 crumpled 1 dollar bills.

The coating used is made by MG chemicals and is Urethane based conformal.

Silicon based is not as messy but I can cure this urethane with a little heat in 30 mins which is crucial like for instance if I go to do a live comp.

Silicon base takes like 24 hours to cure with or without heat.

That's cool when you can do it right away at the competition.
