Any Blu-Ray Movie Player Suggestions

Hey Guys & Gals, looking to see if anyone knows of a decent Blu-Ray 3D Movie Player, as I currently use the bundled CyberLink PowerDVD 11 player, although I do use and love VideoLan's VLC Media Player http://www.videolan.org/ and coupled with Stanley Huang's amazing MediaCoder http://www.mediacoderhq.com makes for a great way to encode files and stream them directly to my Android phone using VLC Direct 🙂 Did orginally use XULPlayer http://xulplayer.sourceforge.net/ before finding VideoLan's player. Never been a big Windows Media Player fan and can just get by with Apple's Quicktime. But wondered if there's a player I've missed, thats worth trying out, it does need to be 3D compatible and support BD-Live 2.0 also. Thanks peeps 🙂

Someone recommended Splash from Mirilis not too long ago: http://mirillis.com/en/products/splash.html

They offer both a free Splash Lite and sell a more feature-rich Splash Pro.

Thanks dstrakele, will have a look and maybe download the trial, see if it's something I could be interested in.

NOTE ADDED: Just looked at Splash and by looks of it and going through the various Editions they sell, they don't appear to have a BD player available as yet according to this anyway http://mirillis.com/en/products/splash_comparison.html Gone through all the different editions looking see which one offers BD playback and appears none so far 😞

Nevermid been on their forums, no specific release date for the BD version, shame as I actually looks like a really nice media player, guess will stick with VLC for now. Tho might give the 30 day PRO trial a go, check out the interface and layout see if it suits me 🙂

By chance do you own a registered copy of AnyDVD HD? If so, then you can download the free media player from VSO software which works great for BD commercial discs as long as you have AnyDVD running in the background to deal with the copy protection.

Update... Why doesn't Roxio's CinePlayer BD actually play my BD (trying to watch Attack the Block), CinePlayer seems to load ok, then when I click on the Play button, nothing happens, CP just reloads in the same window? And for some reason VLC Media Player doesn't play it either, something about couldn't get DVD log file or something, all I want is a easy program to watch my movies, no fuss. Looks like back to the PS3 for watching movies. Annoyed 😞

Why would Asus bundle it if it worked?

See your point chap, I know pre-installed software is always rubbish, but come on if you shipping the machine with a Blu-ray drive, at least make sure there's software on it so people can use it straight away, not everybody is tech savvy ASUS. At least give us software that works next time, makes me buying a ASUS Eee Transformer TF101 bit more uncertain, though I know the Android OS already, actually that reminds me to re-download BlueStacks' App Player Alpha http://bluestacks.com/download_2.html had it on old notebook allows you to run Android Apps on your desktop.

It happened to me, too, the first time I used Roxio Cine Player. Now, I use it for my Blu-Ray and 3D watching.

What I did was under CinePlayer settings, I changed the Region Control (i live in the Asia Region), then clicked the file types I liked it to play under the File Type Associations.
