    1/2 Memory Recognized

Having purchased the Rampage V Extreme and 4x4GB Corsair Vengance DDR4 3000Mhz, I find that the DIMMS installed in A1 and B1 are fine, the two at C1 and D1 are not recognised......

I am about to initiate some analysis by swapping the DIMMS at D1/C1 to A1/B1 to see if it's DIMM or Motherboard related but just wanted some initial advice on possible issues/resolutions......

    Thanks in advance

If this is happening at default settings (DDR4-2133):

    1) Check the modules are seated correctly.
    2) Check all modules are working - as you stated above
    3) Check the CPU socket for bent pins.
    4) Check the CPU cooler is not over-torqued.

Uneven pressure can happen when using watercooling as well. Loosen the screws a little or reseat your CPU block.

    k, update as follows:

    1 - Seated fine
    2 - When swapped C1 & D1 work, A1 & B1 don't indicating bad DIMMS I assume

Another issue now in that having moved memory around bios settings appear corrupted.......Will start another thread for this though.....Thx for all help
