Got an official response from Asus' support to the question "will there ever be a win 10 driver?". Answer: "Go to our support page, select your operating system, download drivers. Sometimes an old driver works on a new system, good luck".

    This is... unacceptable.

Lucky for me the driver works just fine with my Windows 10 ... so i have nothing to complain about it, maybe just some ergonomics about the new Sonic Interface but everything is good for me.

The newest driver for Windows 8.1 works perfectly with Windows 10. After installing that, just grab the Dolby Home Theater installation file from the previous Windows 8.1 driver and install.
After that there is only one problem left, which is why we need a official Windows 10 driver. The driver isn't WHQL, and therefore the Netflix app won't let you play anything. The Netflix app delivers higher quality both in picture and sound than the browser versions. Using the browser alternative is not a good option as that only delivers stereo sound (the app has 5.1 surround support). I didn't buy this sound card to watch stuff in stereo.

Edit: And also, for the last builds that has been released it has been necessary to re-install the driver each time to get Dolby Home Theater to work.
Edit2: I just tested what voron00 said on previous page. Installing the Windows 7 WHQL driver works perfectly! No hassle.

Edit3: Just to give a full round up: How to get Netflix app (or similar apps that requires WHQL drivers) to work on Windows 10

    1. Unsintall whatever driver you have and reboot.
    2. Download the Windows 7 latest WHQL drivers.
    3. Install them in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
    4. Reboot.
    5. Test Netflix (or similar app), does it work? If yes, good, if no, continue.
    6. Open regedit, just type regedit into the startmenu/search, it should be first result.
    7. Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Audio"
    8. Find the "DisableProtectedAudioDG" key and change it too 0.
    9. Reboot.
    10. Netflix (or similar app) should now work.

    This is unacceptable.

Why can Asus never interact on the forums ?

    Corsair does.

    MSI does

    Razer does

    Nvidia does.

    AMD does

    Asus just completely ignores everyone.

The fact that Creative have already put up a chart telling people when to expect Windows 10 drivers for their devices as well is just another slap in the face for Asus who can't even be bothered to interact with their customers.

Just updated to win 10 on my main PC (yes yes i know, curiosity, cat, all of that) and it didn't kill the driver, yay (unlike the update from win 8 to 8.1). On the negative side, can't find the dolby thing anywhere, not a big loss for me since i don't use it. Maybe a reinstall would help, but don't wanna do it right now

I have Windows 10 installed and while the latest Windows 8.1 driver works it's not as good as it could be.

If Asus don't show support within the next month or so I'm just gonna sell the Phoebus and get a Mayflower AMP/DAC and never bother with Asus again as their support of this soundcard has been crappy to say the least.
