    formula IV

    hi to all i have
    formula IV with 1090t procesor
    asus eah 5770 cu core
    16gb of ram,

    i recently changed the HDD took sata 3 thinking that old drive cause freezing, however after numerous fresh copy installs it is look like that service pack of win 7 professional 64 bit cause problems.

    please if someone had same problems or ideas how to fix this,

    Welcome cimbri to ROG.
    What memory are you using? have you run memtest on them?
    When you say freezing, what do you mean... the video is frozen ? do you see snow in the image?
    do you have other memory to try? or borrow ?

    Question did you go into BIOS and change the settings to SATA 6g or did you leave it at Automatic? also did you change the HD to AHCI or leave it at Hard Drive? both of these settings can cause the problem.

    it is very slow boot, and when it boots it holds frozen for about 30 -60 sec, it could be the driver, but repeats after during the work, and about ahci i do not know how to change i try once and end up reinstalling the PC and memory is Kingston hyper KHX1600C9D3/4G CL9
