    Rampage IV extreme bluetooth

    Hi everyone,

Last night I've installed fresh windows 7 64bit on my Rampage IV Extreme/BF3 edition. Everything was working fine, until I'm not sure if bios upgrade brake something or Asus AI Suite II. I've updated to latest bios 1005 and bluetooth stopped working. I've uninstalled everything, tried clearing CMOS nothing seems to be working. When AI Suite was installed I've received some error message about COM port not assigned bluetooth (can't remember what was the message). Bluetooth was not running in services I've started it, still not working. There is no bluetooth icon in taskbar it just disappeared. When I insert driver dvd that came with motherboard bluetooth is not snown at driver list (this is strange). I've installed using this dvd at first place and it was there. Any suggestions? Thx

    Hello and welcome

Check and see if the Bluetooth dongle on your in/out panel has been dislodged. If you are not sure where it is look in your user manual and locate it. If it is loose simple push the dongle into place firmly. Check to see if the blue clips that hold the dongle have not been damaged.

Assuming that the dongle is not loose.

Confirm you have enabled Bluetooth in your bios?

A easy test to see if your Bluetooth is in good order is to use the OCkey and connect to the key by pushing the Bluetooth enable button at the front of the in/out panel for 3 seconds.

Does the screen overlay become visible?

I can confirm everyhing is in place regarding bluetooth. I've conected OCkey and enabled the function. I've entered normally in oc settings overlay but ockey is connected using cable directly from mainbord. Not sure how to test bluetooth since I don't have button on/off on the back. I've checked bios aswell it is enabled there. I'm thinking about changing bios to some older. Thx
