Thanks csbin for the heads up on the new BIOS release.

All this wait for a new BIOS release and the only thing that is new compared to the previous BIOS release is Support 16GB DDR4 memory modules?

I take it if we don`t use 16GB DDR4 memory modules then there is no point in us upgrading to this release since there is no other differences compared to 1401 apart from this? or is there more little changes and fixes in this BIOS compared to the previous BIOS release but just not listed?

They just forgot to type in the usual "Improve system stability."

Don't worry about the file size. It works without hiccups.

Definately. My system's stability has improved tremendously. The increase in performance is just unreal. My applications load faster and Windows 8.1 just feels snappier. 🙂

I have just upgraded to this BIOS release and it does seem like there are more changs. There is a comment here that 128gb ram kits are now supported with this BIOS and I have noticed a new ASUS Hyper Kit mode option and it looks like the Intel CPU Microcode has been updated in this BIOS to: MU063F022E

This is not the latest Intel CPU Microcode for the X99 platform but it is a newer version than what BIOS 1401 had.

Can we have bios update notes, curious about xmp reliability etc...

no they never do that.

Has anyone tried to see if adaptive voltage works with cache now?

Asus blamed the microcode for the system not doing adaptive cache.

Indeed Chino! win 8.1 and overall performance is much faster!! startup is faster aswell.

i saw a few new things in bios, like it supports DDR4-4000mhz! and ASUS Hyper Kit mode option aswell! i havn't looked further in to it, but for now its a blazing fast experience! 🙂 X99 begins to grow! still a long way from mature! but it feels stable and it got really good potentials! Keep it up to date Asus! im getting happier with my RVE! i just love it even more for every BIOS firmware!
